Hello! Today I’m sharing the card I made for my husband for Father’s Day. He loves classic cars (so do I), so I knew I needed to use the Classic Road Legends 2.0 from Spellbinders and Mindy Eggen. I also pulled out one of the past 3D Embossing Folders of the Month from Spellbinders, because it worked so well with what I had in mind. If you’d like to see another card I made using this collection, please click HERE.

I wanted to use the Sedan Street Cruiser for his card. If you have the original Classic Road Legends Collection, you’ll find this car to be quicker to put together. Cars with metal fleck (AKA sparkle!) are awesome, and I knew it would be fun to emulate that look. My husband also loves Panther Pink cars (it’s a real thing…look it up), so I used the Glitter Ombre Rainbow Cardstock from Tonic Studios to die cut an awesome pink-purple metal fleck-y sedan. I also used lots of Recollections’ foiled silver metallic cardstock for the chrome. This car looks rad.

Behind the car, I used the Speedometer Die Set with more of that silver cardstock, plus Tonic’s Black Velvet Cardstock. For the background, I pulled out the Urban Grid 3D Embossing Folder, which was the March 2025 3D Embossing Folder of the Month from Spellbinders. I inked the Embossing Folder with Black Soot Distress Ink, and ran it through my die cut machine with gray cardstock. Then I used a sentiment from the Cruisin’ By Sentiments Set.

I love the texture and shine of this card. I think it came out really cool, and my husband totally loved it. I hope that one day there will be a 3.0 version of the Classic Road Legends collection with motorcycles! That would be amazing. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
