Hello! I love flowers. Lots of flowers. I also love to garden, so buying new flowers is always fun for me. One of my favorites has always been Stargazer Lilies. They have a shock of pink, contrasting bright white, with black speckles, and they are just so cool looking. Their scent is also incredible. I was so excited to see the Stargazer Die Set from Spellbinders and Lisa Horton because I knew I wanted to create a bold card with them.

I die cut the flowers from white cardstock and the foliage from 2 shades of green from Scrapbook.com. I inked the middle sections of the flowers with Party Dress Ink from Catherine Pooler, using my Waffle Flower Shader 1+ Brushes. Then I added some black spots with a liquid ink. I also die cut the Decorative Lattice Die from black cardstock. I used the die twice on one piece of cardstock to create a continuous design that will fill my A2 card front.

I really wanted a bold background, so I grabbed my brightest pink alcohol ink, which is Gumball, and applied it in a wispy fashion on some Dura-Bright White paper from Grafix. It’s one of my favorite colors of alcohol ink and really makes an impact. I added a simple sentiment from the Summertime Sentiments Set, you could really use almost anything here, but I need more birthday cards.

It’s been so dreary for the last few days here, pretty much non-stop raining too. So I really needed to share something bold to wake me up. This card does it. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
