Hello! I have a second card that uses the Retro Flower Duo stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. This is a 6×9 stencil that has two focal designs on it, with a funky 70’s vibe. Last time, I ink blended the stencil. This time, I decided to use markers.

I laid the stencil on top of a piece of Strathmore’s Smooth Bristol Cardstock. I haven’t used my Altenew Dual Tip Pens lately, so I grabbed the Tahitian palette (my favorite of the 4) and colored the design in. I did some sketchy blending, nothing too perfect, because I wanted to give the flowers movement….almost a vibration. I die cut the colored piece with a circle die.

I found a tonal marigold colored patterned paper in my stash and trimmed it to 4″ x 5 1/4.” I added a strip of a coral pink cardstock to ground the circle. My sentiment is from the Concord & 9th and Kristina Werner Checking In Stamps and Dies. I inked the “hello” with Tulip Red VersaFine Clair Ink. I then inked my card base with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide. I can’t remember the last time I used that color, but it was perfect here.

I like these warm, muted tones for this stencil. It really helps give off the 70’s vibe. While it’s faster to just ink blend, I really like the look of this colored in with markers.
