Hello! I shared THIS post earlier this month where I used the Amarillis Garden 3D Embossing Folder from Yana Smakula and Spellbinders. That card was quite different from the one I’m sharing today. I decided to color these embossed paper, which was so much fun. The embossing folder is part of the Amaryllis Collection.

I used the embossing folder with Strathmore’s Smooth Bristol Cardstock and then I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to color the panel in. The colors I used were 021, 222, 306, 045, 073. Not a very large palette, but it certainly has a lot of contrast.
I used a sentiment from the Home for Christmas Sentiments Press Plates & Die Set which I inked with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink. It worked really well with the background color I chose. I inked my card base with Antique Linen Distress Ink because the white of the cardstock was just too stark. In fact, I opted to brush on a bit of that color onto my sentiment as well, to dull it down just a bit.
I was really in the mood for coloring some flowers, so I truly enjoyed the process here. I love the color palette, because amaryllis aren’t always red. It was quite relaxing to color this entire panel and didn’t take as long as you might think. Please be sure to check out the full Amaryllis Christmas Collection over at Spellbinders. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
