Hello! Yana Smakula, as many of you probably know, is an extremely talented paper crafter. I’ve been a long-time fan of her creations and YouTube videos, so I was thrilled when I got to work with her new Amaryllis Christmas Collection from Spellbinders. I immediately started to work with the Amaryllis Garden 3D Embossing Folder…it is absolutely stunning.

It’s so hard to capture the white on white details on camera, but trust me, they’re so beautiful. I first die cut my top panel with the Hemstitch Rectangles set to give the piece an interesting detail. Then I ran it through my die cut machine with the embossing folder.
To make the Hemstitch stand out, I inked the card base with Tulip Red VersaFine Clair Ink. I popped the focal layer up with foam tape. My sentiment was made with the Home for Christmas Sentiments Press Plates and Die Set, which also part of Yana’s Amaryllis Collection. It was inked with the same Tulip Red so that it would match perfectly. I popped it up with more foam tape, but first I added a next of gold thread under it to add more elegance.
You really don’t need to do much to a card when you use an embossing folder like this. It’s stunning just as it is. Of course, you can go further with it, and I’ve got a card that I’ll share soon that uses this same folder, but with many more steps. I hope you’ll come back to see it. For now, please visit Spellbinders to see the rest of the October release. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
