Greetings! I have an absolutely gorgeous embossing folder to share with you today. It’s called Oak Forest, and it’s part of Spellbinders’ new Falling Leaves collection. This is a 3D embossing folder, and you can create some really incredible projects with it. The whole collection is lovely, but this folder is my favorite product from it.

I went through my stash of roll-off prints from when I make monoprints, and I found this one that was made of purple and green paint. This is literally just the excess paint I roll off of my brayer. Sometimes they are the start of some pretty incredible backgrounds, so I always keep them. This was done on cardstock, so I know it would emboss perfectly. I ran it through my machine with the Oak Forest embossing folder and loved the result, but I wanted it to stand out a bit more. I grabbed Metallic Rub-Ons Color Kit #1 from Craf-T Products and I carefully rubbed the copper onto the raised areas with my finger. This is a simple process, but you want to be sure to not use too much. This really made the embossed areas show up and look amazing.
I really wanted to use the new, coordinating Acorn Trio Wax Seal on this card, and I happened to have a very old wax that coordinated perfectly. I melted the wax, pressed the seal into it, and let it sit for a minute. When I removed the seal, it looked amazing, but I wanted those pretty acorns to stand out a little more, so I used the same Copper Metallic Rub-On to enhance the texture. Then, I found a gold mesh ribbon to attach under it. My sentiment is from the All Seasons Sentiments stamp set from Spellbinders and was stamped on Kraft cardstock with Chianti VersaFine Clair Ink. I inked my card base with Purple Delight VersaFine Clair and then popped my panel up on top of it with 3mm foam tape.
I wish you could touch this card. There is so much texture and dimension, and the shine is beautiful. I can’t wait to make more cards with this 3D Embossing folder. Please be sure to visit Spellbinders to see all of their latest products. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
