Hello! I am really enjoying the many ways that you can use the Oak Forest Embossing Folder from Spellbinders. I have already shared THIS blog post and THIS video, in case you missed my earlier projects. You can use any of these techniques with other 3D embossing folders, but I am really loving this folder in particular. It really speaks to my tree hugging heart.

I went for a really elegant look this time. I embossed a piece of burgundy cardstock with Oak Forest and then used the gold in the Metallic Rub-Ons Kit #1 from Craf-T Products. I opted to cut the panel on a diagonal so that I can get 2 cards from it. I had yet to use the Pumpkin Trio Wax Seal, so this was the perfect opportunity. I had some old wax in my stash that closely matched my embossed layer, and after I made the seal, I used the same gold Rub-Ons to help the beautiful design stand out more.
I wanted a patterned paper that was also elegant, so I looked through the paper pad that comes in the Handmade Holidays Christmas Card Kit from Spellbinders. I found the paper you see above that has small foiled diamonds, with a pale grid detail. It’s beautiful, and I knew it would look great with the embossed layer. I like to add a bit more detail when I do this type of card layout, so I added a thin strip of gold cardstock to help with the transition from one paper to the next. My sentiment was stamped onto Kraft cardstock with Chianti VersaFine Clair Ink and fussy cut out. It’s from Spellbinders’ All Seasons Sentiments stamp set.
I love all the shine and how elegant this card turned out. The wax seal really adds the perfect focal point to it. Please visit Spellbinders to see what other fabulous new products they have. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
