Hello! In the Storytelling Scrapbooking collection from Spellbinders, there are some wonderful word dies, and one set is called Four Seasons. There’s a word die for each season plus the shadow layers. These words are large, as they are intended for scrapbooking, but I wanted to use them on cards, which are all A2 sized, and need to be in a horizontal orientation to fit. You can see my Summer card HERE and my Autumn card HERE.

I got to use a background I had made some time ago with the Delicate Snowflakes stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I had laid the stencil on some cardstock and sprayed it with a couple of things…to be honest, I’m not entirely sure what, but I do believe that I used Lilac Posies Fireworks! spray because there’s some shimmer and a Distress Oxide Spray.
I die cut the Winter with white cardstock and a shimmery blue. I stamped my sub-sentiment, which is from Spellbinders’ All Seasons Sentiments, with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink. I decided to turn this into a full panel shaker, so I wrapped the background with acetate, and secured it with Tear It! Tape. I filled it with Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs in Crystal Metallic Wisteria, Luminous White, and Satin Matte Pale Ocean Blue Green. I decided to leave my card base white, because it looked really nice with the “winter” also being white.
I really love the background, and I think it works great with the font of these dies. I look forward to showing you the final installment of this series with my spring card.
