Greetings! In the new Storytelling Scrapbooking collection from Spellbinders, there are some amazing word dies, and one set is called Four Seasons. You get a word die for each season and the shadow layers. And I have to say, I adore the font they used! These words are big, as they are intended for scrapbooking, but I decided to use them on cards, which are all A2 sized, but need to be in a horizontal orientation to fit. I plan on using them on scrapbook pages soon. Today’s card features not only the Summer die, but also the new Sunset in a Glass die set.

I die cut all of my pieces using mostly My Colors Cardstock. There’s not a lot of pieces here, and thankfully the main word die is all one piece, so this didn’t take long at all. A point to note: I cut a piece of vellum to go behind the glass, to make it look like glass.
Behind my die cuts. I used an old piece of Bo Bunny cardstock from their Double Dot collection. I cut it to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2,” which I don’t normally do, but since the cup is so large, it was going to look better cut to full size. I wanted to bring your eye in, so I inked the edges with Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink. For a bit more fun, I added a few Satin Matte Lemon Yellow Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs. They look like golden bubbles, don’t they?
The inking of the edges really makes this card look like it’s glowing with the sunset in the glass. I think it came out really pretty. Be sure to visit Spellbinders to check out the rest of the Storybook Scrapbooking collection, even if you’re not a scrapbooker. I’ll be sharing the rest of my seasonal cards soon. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
