Greetings! In the new Storytelling Scrapbooking collection from Spellbinders, there are some wonderful word dies, and one set is called Four Seasons. You get a word die for each season and the shadow layers. These words are big, as they are intended for scrapbooking, but I decided to use them on cards, which are all A2 sized, but need to be in a horizontal orientation to fit. You can see my Summer card HERE.

I started with an ink smooshed panel that was made with a few Distress Oxides in shades of brown. There’s definitely some Frayed Burlap in there, and probably Vintage Photo too. I splattered some Rich Coca Fireworks! Spray from Imagine on it. Then I filled my background with die cuts from last year’s Autumn Wonder Etched Dies, from Spellbinders. This set has so many beautiful dies, it was easy to fill up the background. I used assorted colors of cardstock, just with scraps I had laying around. I like how the ink smooshing looks like a forest ground with all of these lovely bits of nature’s gifts on it.
I die cut the Autumn out of orange and brown cardstock and gave that and some of the foliage a spritz of Diet Cola Memories Mist. You can use whatever type of spray you have on hand, this is just what I have and it gives a fine mist when sprayed. I loved the panel so much, I didn’t want to trim any of it away, so there’s no border on this card.
This isn’t a difficult card to make, although it can be a little time consuming to cut all of the pieces. But this isn’t a bad thing. I found it to be quite relaxing and I truly love how it turned out. Be sure to visit Spellbinders to check out the rest of the Storybook Scrapbooking collection, even if you’re not a scrapbooker. I’ll be sharing the last 2 cards in this series soon. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
