Hello! Earlier this month, I shared a card using the Row of Houses stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. You can check that card out HERE. I really love this stencil and how easy it is to create these sweet little homes. My card today can be used for someone that may have moved away from your neighborhood (or maybe you moved), or someone that could just be around the block, but you don’t get to see them often enough.

I decided to make each row a gradation of color, rather than each house being it’s own color like I did last time. I did all of the ink blending with Distress Inks on Smooth Bristol Cardstock. At the top, I started with Twisted Citron and moved into Mustard Seed. The next row is Saltwater Taffy and Abandoned Coral. The bottom row is Kitsch Flamingo and Wilted Violet. The windows were done with Ground Espresso. I also added a touch of blue to the top and bottom of the panel, just by using whatever leftover ink was on my blending brush.
I recently got the Miss You die set from Simon Says Stamp, and I knew it was perfect for this card. I cut the top layer from white cardstock, and the bottom from brown to match my card base. I didn’t think I needed any other embellishments.
This card came together really quickly, and I love it. I can think of a bunch of people I could send this to. Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the hundreds of stencils that are available. There are so many amazing stencils that are unlike any you may have seen before. Thank you so much for your kind words!
