Hi! Welcome back. I’ve got a shaker card today that uses one of the new Sparkle Blends, called Pink Ribbon. This is a very special Sparkle Blend, as it has tiny little pink ribbons in it, which is the ribbon for breast cancer. If you know someone that is battling it, this is the perfect Blend to use.
Way back when I had my scrapbooking store, I had carried a kit from Sizzix that had not only ribbon dies, but embossing folder and plate too. I thought it was the perfect time to break that kit out. I die cut one of the ribbons on patterned paper and then embossed it with the plate. The ribbons didn’t show up well enough, so I inked them with some pink ink.
I backed my shaker window with pink glitter cardstock, which I also used for my sentiment. I backed that with vellum. You can see some of the pink ribbon sequins and clay bits. It’s a very pretty pink and brown Sparkle Blend. I painted the edge of my white card base with Rose Bud Fireworks! Spray from Imagine, which gives a subtle shimmer.
I hope this card inspires you, and perhaps gives you some ideas on how to use this new Pink Ribbon Sparkle Blend.
