Greetings! Simon Hurley has some fa-boo-lous new Halloween stamps and dies, and I used one of them with the August 2026 Embossing Folder and 3D Embossing Folders of the Month from Spellbinders. The stamps I used today is from the Halloween Pets set. This is probably my favorite set of the bunch, but it’s so hard to choose since they’re all great!

I stamped the cat with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and then colored it with Copic Markers. After die cutting it, I decided that the leftover piece I had from the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, was the perfect start to my background. If you want to see what I did with the other piece, you can check out that project HERE.

I embossed the 2D Embossing Folder of the Month with orange cardstock and I inked the faces with Black Soot Distress Ink. I cut it at an angle to match the other layer and then I used a piece of Black Velvet Plus Paper from Therm O Web to tie the two pieces together. I embossed my sentiment with white embossing powder on black cardstock and cut it out. I left the card base white, to go with the border of the kitty.

I love the style of art on the sweet pets in this set. I also really love the different textures from the embossing folders. This was a really fun (and not so spooky) card to make. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of their latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
