Hello! Today I’m sharing the card I made for my husband’s birthday. I knew he’d get a kick out of the You’re a Classic Stamp & Cut from Hero Arts. Plus, the Floating Balloons Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs was going to make the perfect, subtle background.

Let me start off by saying that it is SO easy to ink up the statues with the You’re a Classic Layering Stencil Set. You can see me use it in this video HERE. I was so surprised at how great it looked when it was done! I used 3 gray inks from Altenew in THIS collection. After I finished with the statue, I stamped out the balloons and quickly colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I die cut them as well, and to help my statue really hold onto the balloons, I cut a slit into his hand and slid the “strings” in.

I used the Floating Balloons Stencil on my background with the lightest gray in the Altenew collection. I wanted it to be very subtle. Then I stamped and cut my sentiments and edged my panel with a thin line of Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, which is what I used to stamp everything on my card. I also added a thin line of Nocturne on my card base.

I love the whimsy of this card. It really cracks me up! My husband loves it too. Please be sure to visit Hero Arts and A Colorful Life Designs to see all of their latest releases.
