Greetings! Scene building can be tricky for me. I’m not really sure why, but I always appreciate a good stamp or die set that helps me to create a scene easily. The Open Lace Frame & Landscapes from the Summertime Collection from Spellbinders is perfect for someone like me. It’s got a several thoughtfully designed dies that help you make an outdoor scene easily, whether you use the Lace Frame or not. Today, I chose to use it.

I used some assorted cardstock to quickly create my scene. You can ink blend and stamp on these layers, but I really wanted to keep things simple. I wanted a critter to frolic in the scene so I found a unicorn from Hero Arts’ Dragons & Unicorns Stamp Set (sadly, it’s discontinued) and then I colored it with Copics.

Based on the colors I used for the unicorn, I chose a soft pink for the Lace Frame. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do for my card base, but I knew I wanted color. I came across this minty green glitter card base from who-knows-where, and thought it looked perfect with my unicorn friend. I added a few Opalescent Peony Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs for some additional magic. My sentiment is from the Classic Mouse Wedding Sentiments Press + Foil Set.

It’s a pretty simple card, thanks to the ease of the die set I used. I could have gone and embellished it a lot more, but I like the simplicity of what I did here. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
