Hello! I wanted to share two more cards using Yay Day, which is the May 2026 My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts. Both of these cards only use products from the regular kit, but you can see a card I made using the My Monthly Super Hero HERE. This kit is so fun and cheerful, and I am really enjoying working with all of the components.

Let’s chat about the card with the Big Present Die Set.

I love just how large this present is. You can actually turn it into a gift card holder, but I opted to not do that today. I created the box using Spellbinders cardstock, then I inked the edges on all the pieces to give everything some faux dimension. I used Party Dress, Aquatini, Tiara, and Cummerbund, all from Catherine Pooler.

I wanted a subtle background, but I didn’t want to just use plain cardstock, so I inked it up by repeating the cake slice stamp with Getaway Ink. It’s tonal, but really fun. I stamped my sentiment with Party Dress Ink and inked the edges of my card base with Cummerbund. I also added a few Opalescent Peony Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

It’s a really simple card to create, but it has a big impact. I just love these colors together too!

For my second card, I really wanted to make the some of the Tiny Tags dies be the star of the show. I die cut 3 of them from different colors of cardstock (all Spellbinders again) and stamped an image on each of them. I stamped them with tonal matching colors and they’re all large and off center, for some extra interest and a more unique design. I used silver foiled cardstock for the faux eyelets.

Then I die cut the sentiment, minus the shadow layer. I inked my focal panel with Cummerbund Ink and then splattered it with Vibrant Turquoise Dylusions Spray. I opted to leave my card base uninked this time.

This is a different kind of card design for me, but I really like it. I particularly like the way I stamped the images on the tags. This whole kit is a blast to play with. There are so many components, and the cardstock colors are really inspiring and happy. Please visit Hero Arts to get all of the details on the My Monthly Hero and My Monthly Super Hero Kits. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
