Hello! There are some new stamps and dies from Simon Hurley and Spellbinders, and they are so much fun! There are mylar balloon stamps and a adorable set of alligators. I was so inspired that I made three cards as soon as they arrived! Today I’m sharing a shaker card that’s got a gator that is ready for some cake!

I colored the alligator from the Snappy Birthday Stamp Set with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I die cut it and set it off to the side to work on my background. I chose a piece of pink cardstock and stamped the star balloon from the Number Balloons Cling Rubber Stamp Set repeatedly using It’s a Girl Ink from Catherine Pooler and Baby Pink VersaFine Clair Ink. Then I inked the edges with Party Dress Ink with a Medium Blending Brush.

To turn this into a shaker, I used one of the dies in the Ripped Edge Circles Die Set from Lisa Horton and Spellbinders. I cut it right into the side of the balloon panel, letting it come off of the edge. I cut a piece of black cardstock to the same size as my balloon panel, and I wrapped it with leftover packaging from a stamp set. I dropped in some Crystal Iris Bali Breeze Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs, then I adhered the panels together, topping them off with my alligator. I heat embossed one of the sentiments in the Snappy Birthday set with white embossing powder on black cardstock, and I inked the edges of my card base with Firefly Ink from Altenew. This shaker is nice and flat so you don’t need to worry about mailing it.

I am really having a lot of fun with these alligators. I can’t wait to show you the other cards I’ve made with them! Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
