Hello! Today’s card features one of the new die sets from Spellbinders and Lisa Horton, called Garden Planter. It’s part of Lisa’s new Summertime Collection. I love this wooden planter and all of the flowers and foliage dies it comes with. I opted to only use foliage for this card, and I think it looks lovely. It’s a good one for Mother’s Day, especially if flowers aren’t your momma’s thing.

I die cut all of my pieces using various colored cardstock. I used several colors of Catherine Pooler Inks to add shading to each of the die cuts, including Over Coffee, Juniper Mist, Sage, and Green Tea. I used a silver foiled cardstock for the rim of the planter and the binding bands.

For my background, I used one of my all-time favorite embossing folders, which also happens to be from Lisa Horton and Spellbinders, called Lined Corners (psst! It’s on sale right now!). I inked the folder with Cashmere Ink before running it through my die cut machine. I also used that color on my card base. My sentiment, which was also inked with Cashmere, is from the April ’26 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month. I thought it was the perfect sentiment for this card.

I mentioned that this car would be great for Mother’s Day, but truthfully, I can see this card working for many occasions. It’s also great for a guy. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
