Hello! I’ve mentioned throughout the month that I love using geometric stencils. There’s just something about them that really speaks to me. Today, I used the Diamond Circle Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, which is just so cool. You could easily stencil it and pop something right into the middle for a great focused design, but I love using geometrics on my Gel Press, so I did that here. I made a bunch of prints using many of the new releases stencils from this month, and this is one of my favorites.

My print was made with acrylic paints. You can see a bit of the Arrows Stencil at the top. I used another part of this print on THIS card. For the Diamond Circle, I used Dioxazine Purple, which is one of my favorite colors to use. It really stands out against the Bright Aqua. I added some white splatter using Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bleed Proof White.

I pulled out some chipboard ephemera from Stamperia’s Cosmos Collection. I chose a couple of pieces because the colors worked perfectly with my background. I added a strip of sheet music, which I inked with Serene Ink and some kind of blue splatter (I forget what). I also added some gauze and Crystal Iris Purple Potion Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs. I inked the edges of the background with Drive In Ink, and my card base with Serene and Crushed Violet, all from Catherine Pooler.

This is one of my favorite cards from this month. There’s a lot to look at, but it’s not too busy. I love the colors, and while the Diamond Circle has a lot of movement, it’s slow and relaxing.
