Hello! Today I’m sharing a card using the brand new collection from House Mouse Stamps available from Spellbinders, called Party Parade. This card features the Nuts About You Stamp Set, and I got to use one of my favorite 3D Embossing Folders with it.

I colored the scene with my Copic Markers.
Skin: E33, E51, E53, E93
Fur: T2, T4, T6
Peanuts: E31, E35, YR23
Shadow: W0, W3
After coloring, I inked the the ground with Lost Shadow Distress Ink and the other edges with Tumbled Glass. I wanted the edge to have some depth, so I carefully pressed Pinecone VersaFine Clair around it, keeping the border really thin.

I took a piece of cardstock that had kind of a peanutty color to it and I ran it through my die cut machine with the fabulous Crackle Paint 3D Embossing Folder. I love this texture so much and I thought it really worked as a representation for the peanut shells. To give the layer some depth, I inked the edges with Brushed Corduroy then Walnut Stain Distress Inks. I stamped my sentiment with Pinecone VersaFine Clair. I popped up the embossed layer with 1″ Black Foam Tape from Scrapbook.com and mounted it onto my white card base.

I love the effect of the embossing folder with this House Mouse stamp. I have some other ideas for this cutie, and i hope I have time to execute them soon. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
