Greetings! I’m finally getting a chance to share a card I made using the September Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders. This is such a great set, and I really hope I have time to use it more before Halloween this year. I also used some other products from Spellbinders and Hero Arts on it.

I started by cutting out the pieces that I wanted to use from this set. I didn’t do any ink blending. Then I figured out how I wanted to arrange my die cuts. I really wanted the ghost coming out of the pumpkin, and the kitty with it’s skull checking out the ghost. I used a die from Yana’s City Holiday Die Set for my ground.

I decided I wanted a night sky, so I took out the Wishing & Falling Stars BetterPress & Embossing Folder Bundle. First, I applied Twisted Citron Distress Oxide to the BetterPress Plate and ran it through with black cardstock. It doesn’t look very green. I guess it just oxidized on it’s own. Then, I ran it through with the embossing folder. There’s a certain way to line it up so that the stars don’t overlap. To make the embossed stars shine, I used Scrapbook.com’s Silver Shimmer Glitter Pen on all of them. My sentiment is from Hero Art’s Spooky Season. I stamped it with Monarch VersaFine Clair and then inked the edges with Twisted Citron Distress Ink. I popped my focal elements up with Scrapbook.com’s 1mm Black Foam Strips.

There are so many great elements in this die set, and you can use them together or separately. I like how this little scene came out. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases.
