Hello! Today’s card combines the September Card Kit of the Month from Hero Arts with the Falling Leaves Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I love being able to combine different companies on my projects. It helps give more life to every product that I own.

I had a monoprint that I had made using the Cappuccino Delight Kaleidacolor Inks from Imagine. It’s just a soft, blended background that was the perfect backdrop for my scene. I used Walnut Stain Distress Ink with the Falling Leaves Stencil on top of it. Then I worked on my squirrel, the tree stump, and the acorn. I colored all of these elements with Copics.
Squirrel: N2, N3, N4, N6
Tree Stump: E21, E25, E29, E47
I forgot to write down what I used for the acorn.
The card kit comes with coordinating dies, but I didn’t want my images to have a border, so I just fussy cut them out. I tore a piece of brown cardstock to create my “ground.”

Behind my scene, I added a piece of old patterned paper. On my card base, I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, then I used the residual ink on my red blending brush to warm up the color further. My sentiment is from the card kit.

This came out so cute, and I think the stamped images and the stencil work really well together.
