Greetings! I have a really pretty, textured Fall card that uses non-traditional colors. I was very inspired by this month’s Hero Studio Card Kit of the Month and the Die Set of the Month from Hero Arts. There are so many amazing images to color, and fun dies to use. I absolutely love white pumpkins, so that was my jumping off point for the rest of my card.

Pumpkins aren’t only orange…there are some pretty interesting colors, such as white and a dusty turquoise. The white usually has a creamy undertone (sometimes with a yellowish tinge) so I used my E40 and E41 Copics to color the larger pumpkin. For the smaller one, I used BG10, BG11, and BG72. Th stems for both were colored with E25 and E37. I fussy cut them, even though I have the coordinating dies, because I didn’t want a white border around them. I used a cream colored cardstock for my sentiment, which was die cut with the August Die of the Month from Spellbinders.

The Die Set of the Month has sweet, sleepy animals, a bed, and a quilt for the bed. I thought the design on the quilt was so pretty, and it would make a great background for my pumpkins. I cut the panel, and trimmed it to make it into a rectangle, and adhered my pumpkins on top. To add more dusty teal, I cut a panel down and embossed it with Spellbinders’ Dimpled Embossing Folder. The cardstock has a white core, so I sanded it a bit to show the fabulous detail off. I popped my pumpkin layer and sentiment on top with some 1mm foam tape, and I left my card base white. I also added a few Opaque Iridescent Vanilla Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

I love, love, love this card. The textures, the colors, the little bit of shine from the Bling…it’s just really pretty. Please be sure to visit Hero Arts to see all of the Hero Studio Kits from the month, as well as Spellbinders to see the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
