Hello! Today I have another card that features the September ’25 Card Kit of the Month from Hero Arts. The stamp set for this month is filled with adorable squirrels, pumpkins, leaves, and other decorations that allow you to make clean and simple cards, like this one I made HERE, or fun playful ones like the card I’m sharing today.

I love to read, so I was excited to be able to have a squirrel reading in a big pile of leaves. I colored all of my elements with Copic Markers. I used N2, N4, and N6 for the squirrel, but use whatever colors you have. I wound up coloring 5 piles of leaves. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out, and I cut a slit between the squirrel’s arms so that I could slip the book in. I also colored around the leaves so that there wouldn’t be any white cardstock showing.

I used a piece of orange cardstock that comes in the kit (it’s Spellbinders cardstock) for my background. I inked the Cling Stamp of the Month from August ’25 with Wild Honey Distress Ink and stamped it on the orange, knowing that Distress Ink isn’t the best ink for stamping. I wanted it to fade in and out, and be subtle…but to work well with the book my squirrel was holding. I inked my card base with Scattered Straw Distress Ink, and used my Waffle Flower Shader 1+ Brush to add the color to my sentiment as well. It was stamped with Acorn VersaFine Clair.

You don’t need a ton of elements to create a cute scene. And I love that I got to incorporate last month’s Cling of the Month onto this card. Please be sure to visit Hero Arts to see all of the Hero Studio Kits from the month and to see the other new releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
