Hello! Today I have 2 cards to share, both using the Snowflake Star Die Set and Modern Holiday Greetings sentiment stamps from Hero Arts. I got two very different looks using these sets as you’ll see below. I love how they both turned out.

I started by die cutting the large die out of turquoise cardstock, purposely positioning them to go past the edges. I used the negative space to then cut out the snowflakes. I decided the cardstock was a little too plain, so splattered it with various blue and turquoise sprays. Some are shimmery, which added a nice effect.

For even more shine, I adhered these pieces to holographic cardstock. It looks so cool, especially when you move it around in the light. I added my sentiment, which was stamped with All That Jazz Ink from Catherine Pooler, and then lightly inked the edges with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and a Blending Brush. I popped the focal layer up with foam tape, and left my card base white.

This comes together really quickly, and you could use lots of colors for the die cut layer, since so many colors are reflected in the holographic cardstock. Now, let’s check out my second card.

For this card I started by die cutting the snowflake out of a pink glitter cardstock. The larger layer was cut out of pink cardstock. I cut my background out of a pale pink cardstock.

I wanted a lot of shimmer on this background. so I sprayed it with Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Rose Gold. I inked the edges of the panel with Pink Champagne Catherine Pooler Ink and I used it to stamp my sentiment. I kept the card base white. I popped up my snowflake with foam tape.

This is a great card to batch, because you can make them in almost any color, like the first card, and it doesn’t take much to put it all together. 2 dies, a little spritz, and that’s it. I love how different they are. Which is your favorite? Please head over to Hero Arts to see the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
