Greetings! Hero Arts just released 4 fab new collections and I can’t wait to show you cards with all of them! Today we’re going to start with the Crackin’ Christmas Collection which has a great bit of humor and snark. Specifically, the A Little Nuts Stamp & Cut Set. While I know I’m going to want to color the crackers in the future, I wanted to first do a lot of gold embossing with them.

I used a piece of navy colored cardstock and heat embossed the 2 complete crackers all over it with a detail gold embossing powder. On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped, die cut, and embossed the broken cracker and sentiment, then I colored in some details with a white and silver gel pen.

At first, I didn’t know I was going to make a shaker and the die cut pieces weren’t standing out enough against the background, so I decided to fussy cut some gold cardstock to make a mat. Then I pulled out my Essential Arches Die Set from Spellbinders, and thought that would make a good grounding point (see THIS VIDEO to learn more about grounding elements), so I decided to go one step further and make it a shaker. I used the same gold cardstock and some vellum, then filled it with Hologram Gold Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs. Then I used Juniper Mist Ink from Catherine Pooler on the edges of my card base.

I’m really happy with how my original idea evolved into this one. I love the fine details on the crackers, and I always love a good shaker card. I look forward to showing you more with this stamp and die cut set! Please visit Hero Arts to see all of the brand new collections. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
