Hello! I don’t know about you, but I love getting snail mail. I need to get better at sending it though. I’m working on it, I promise! My card today uses the Small Die of the Month for April 2025 from Spellbinders, plus the new Winding Paths stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I absolutely love the little snail in the die set, and I bet many of you will too.

Seriously, how cute is this little snail mail carrier? I used colored cardstock for all of the snail’s pieces and added a bit of shading to the body and the shell with Crushed Olive and Walnut Stain Distress Inks. My new Waffle Flower Shader 1+ Brushes have been a total game changer for inking on dies!!! I highly encourage you to check them out.

I wanted to give my snail a path, and the Winding Roads stencil was perfect. I inked up part of it with Altenew’s Pink Pearl Ink. I thought it needed some shine, like a real snail trail, so I went over each little wonky rectangle with Scrapbook.com’s Pretty Pink Glitter Marker. You can see the shimmer in the photo above. I felt like the background needed a little more, so I rubbed some Crushed Olive Ink onto my Glassboard Studios Glass Mat and then I added some water and flicked it on with a brush. My sentiment, which was stamped with Avocado VersaFine Clair Ink, is from the April ’25 Clear Stamp and Die Set of the Month from Spellbinders. I inked my white card base with Weathered Wood Distress Ink and a Blending Brush.

I can’t wait to make another snail! Maybe a whole bunch for one card! What do you think? Please check out Spellbinders’ Club overview for all the info on the Clubs.
