Hello! I love art deco. It’s such a glamourous and cool style. So I was really excited to see the Deco Fans stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and I knew I needed to go full on glamour with it. I even had the perfect stamps from Hero Arts to go with it.

I used a gold embossing paste (the brand is no longer available) to emboss a piece of black cardstock with the Deco Fans stencil. It’s just stunning. I let it dry and cut the panel to 4″ x 5 1/4.”
I took out the My Monthly Hero Kit from February 2019 and chose two stamps. I heat embossed them on the same black cardstock with a gold powder. I wish the golds matched a little better, but I still think it looks good. I die cut the couple and trimmed the sentiment. The images weren’t standing out enough, so I cut mats of vellum for the two pieces. This helped break the layers up without being distracting. I mounted the panel onto a black card base.
The gold on black is so striking. I’ve seen what some of my fellow DT members made with this stencil and they’re all stunning.
