Greetings! The Spellbinders Embossing Folder of the Month for March ’25 is really striking, especially depending on the treatment you give to the folder or your paper. The folder is called Mosaic Memories, and I have used it a few times already.

I decided to go bold with this card. I took my VersaMark Ink and applied it to the side of the embossing folder that had more flat surface area. Then I ran it through my die cut machine with holographic cardstock. Next, I applied black embossing powder to the panel. I should have applied anti-static powder to the panel before running it through, because there was a lot of excess powder. It was easy enough to brush off, but using the powder first would have been better. I heat set the powder and it turned out awesome. I did notice, however, that the holographic cardstock wasn’t nearly as holographic anymore. It still looks cool, but as you can see in my photos, the “Magic” sentiment, which uses the same cardstock, is much shinier and has more of a vibrant holographic effect.

I didn’t want to cover up this fantastic panel too much, so I used the “Magic” die set from Spellbinders and a “you’re” from a stamp set. Nothing else was needed because that holographic paper is fab. I mounted the panel on a black card base, which I left unaltered.

I love the effect of the embossing powder, and I adore all things holographic. This card was really quick to make, which is a bonus. Just be sure to clean off your embossing folder really well after you use VersaMark, since it’s a sticky ink. I just use some rubbing alcohol. Be sure to visit Spellbinders to see all of the Club Kits for March. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
