Hello! I have a sweet card to share today that uses the Dutch Tile stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I also got to use some things from Spellbinders, and an old Gel Press monoprint. I love the sweetness of this stencil.

I found a Gel Press monoprint that didn’t have a lot going on….just some tiny cracking from the paints I used, which looks like broken China. I thought it would be perfect for this stencil. I inked it with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink and then used clear embossing powder on top. The monoprint is small, so I had plenty of room to add more layers. I die cut a piece of navy cardstock with the Hemstitch Rectangles from Spellbinders.

Because of the hemstitch, you can add color underneath the die cut to get an additional pop of color. I inked my white card base with Cummerbund Ink from Catherine Pooler. For a focal point, I used a typewriter and sentiment stamp from Spellbinders’ Just Sayin’ Collection. The colors worked perfectly with the monoprint and stenciling. I also added some Luminous Petticoat Pink Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

I really love combining monoprints with stencils, both while I’m making the prints, and after they’re finished. And this dainty design worked so well with this print.
