Hello! I’ve got a card to share that uses the new BoHo Flowers stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. This is a great stencil to use on top of a monoprint, which is what I did. I love the playful vibe of this stencil, and I bet a lot of you will too.

I chose a 3×5 Gel Press print that was made with acrylic paint. Most inks don’t really like to stick on top of acrylic paints, so it’s a great time to use embossing paste or embossing powder. I opted for the powder, so I inked the stencil with VersaMark Ink and then applied the Vintage Plum Embossing Powder from Stampendous on top and heat set it. It’s nice and sparkly. I chose a burgundy cardstock to mat the monoprint. Both layers were cut with my Tonic Deckle Trimmer.
I grabbed a sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps’ Big Time Kindness Stamps and Dies. I added a few Metallic Pink Card Bling for extra shine too.
Stenciling on top of a monoprint is a really great way to make unique cards quickly. It’s just important to know what mediums you used to make the print, so your stenciling medium doesn’t rub off.
