Hello! Have you seen the Timeless Collection from Spellbinders yet? I’ve shared a few projects here and on my YouTube channel. It’s a really pretty collection that’s perfect for very feminine cards but for my card today, I decided to go dark and gothic. The Timeless Duo Etched Die set was begging to be used in a way that made them look like wrought iron.

I die cut two of the Essential Arches (the 4th and 6th largest) from Spellbinders. One out of Black Mixed Media cardstock from Scrapbook.com and the other out of Strathmore’s Smooth Bristol Cardstock. For the smaller arch, I sprinkled Peony Scarlet Red from Lindy’s Prairie Wildflowers Magicals Set onto the Spellbinders Tiny Dots Embossing Folder. Then I spritzed the folder with water, placed the white arched panel in, and ran it through my die cut machine. The result was this rich red, with a smattering of gold shimmer.
I die cut one of the Timeless Duo Etched Dies out of the same Black Mixed Media Cardstock as the arch as well as my sentiment, which is from the Thanks Enclosed Die Set from Spellbinders. On the arch, I splattered Gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz from Imagine. On the words and the other die, I used Glitzy Gold Magicals from Lindy’s Gang. Behind the arches, I added a piece of foiled striped cardstock from my stash and then I inked the edges of my white card base with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
This card has a very dark, gothic romance vibe to me. Almost vampiric. What do you think? I love it. The bright and airy cards using the Timeless collection are fantastic, but this is really more my style. Be sure to visit Spellbinders to see the whole collection. Thank you so much for your kind words!
