Hello! I have a sweet House Mouse card to share today that is great for anyone that may be intimidated by some of House Mouse’s more complicated scenes. I used Flying to See You, which is available through Spellbinders. This stamp is part of the everyday collection, so you don’t need to worry about it disappearing right after the holidays.

I colored my House Mouse with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. The colors I used are as follows:
Skin: 064, 071, 072. Nose: 230
Fur: 094, 097, 905, 906
Handles: 050, 052, 601
Wings: 068, 072, Blender
After coloring the mouse, I gave it a loose fussy cut, leaving a thin white border.

You might recognize the stencil I used for my background. It’s called Christmas Star, and I used the reverse, or positive, version on THIS card I made for the Coffee Lovers Hop. I had sprayed the stencil with Desert Sand Fireworks! Spray from Imagine, and I thought it made a great background for the mouse. I stamped my sentiment, which is from the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bold Tidings Mini stamp set, with VersaMark Ink and then heat embossed it with gold. I backed that layer with Kraft cardstock and adhered everything to a white card base.

I think this card is great all year…it’s definitely not just for Christmas. It’s a sweet encouragement card that you can give to almost anyone.
