Greetings! I have a clean and simple card today that uses the Jointed Tree stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and a 3×5 Gel Press print I made. I really love how this one came out.

I didn’t want to use patterned paper for this card (although you can, of course) because I really didn’t want to overpower the Jointed Trees. So I found a Gel Press print that used some fluid acrylics and an old Rubber Texture from Carabelle Studio. It gave me kind of a Northern Lights vibe with the soft swirling, so I thought it was perfect. I used my Tonic Deckle Trimmer to cut it down, and then I used a glossy white embossing paste to get the trees onto the print.
I needed some more texture, but I wanted to keep it subtle. I used an old embossing folder from Set Apter and Spellbinders, called Laser Beams, and used it on white cardstock, cut to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2.” To finish the card off, I stamped my sentiment, which is from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous’ Bold Tidings Mini, with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with shiny white powder.
Like I said, I really love how this came out. I like that it’s kinda funky, but also clean and simple.
