Hello! Sometimes, you see a design that’s simplistic in style, and because of that, you get a ton of ideas on how to use it. That’s the case with the Stick Wreath from A Colorful Life Designs. This sweet little wreath can easily be used all year long, with lots of layers or only one.

I ink blended Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks on a piece of Ivory cardstock. On top of that, I stenciled the Stick Wreath with Walnut Stain. In the middle of the wreath, I stamped my sentiment, which is from an older Simon Says Stamp set called Happy Fall Y’all with VersaFine Clair Ink in Fallen Leaves.
For embellishments, I pulled out Spellbinders’ Autumn Wonder Dies and cut out the pumpkin, acorn, and a leaf. The pumpkin was done with an old Gel Press Print, the leaf was cut from patterned paper. I added some shading with blending brushes and more Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Up on top, I die cut the Mini Provincial Impresslits from Tim Holtz from brown cardstock, then added some of Craf-T’s Metallic Rub-Ons in gold, from their Kit #1. I also brushed on some Peeled Paint Distress Ink around my card base.
Though this is a simple card, I really love the warmth it has. Not using white cardstock, for example, on the focal layer, really helped to warm things up easily. I adore how that pumpkin came out too. Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the many, many stencils they have to offer.
