Hello! One of the newest stencils from A Colorful Life Designs is called Fluttering Snow. This is a really fun one that can absolutely be used for more than just wintery cards, but I did decide to go that route with my card this time. I am playing along with the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers (BYSHC) Linky Party. Folks that want to join are to link up new holiday/winter cards for the chance to win prizes.

I started off with one of my beloved roll-off prints from a Gel Press printing session. The colors were so pretty, I knew it would make a great base layer. I sprayed the back of the stencil with Pixie Spray from Therm O Web so that none of the pieces would lift as I worked with the stencil. Then I applied a deep sapphire blue Glitter Glaze from Brutus Monroe.
As the glaze was drying, I stamped out my sentiment on a scrap of the same roll off print. I used the Bold Tidings Mini stamp set from Stampers Anonymous and Tim Holtz. I stamped it with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink and then embossed with with an old Kaleidoscope embossing powder from Stampendous. I should have instead used the Paradise VersaFine Clair, as it would have matched the glaze much better, but the Twilight is okay. I trimmed the sentiment down with my Tonic Deckle Trimmer. On the card base, I used my small Tim Holtz Brayer and rolled out a few Distress Ink colors along the edge to mimic the roll off print. I used Cracked Pistachio, Shaded Lilac, and Tumbled Glass. To help make the stenciled design stand out a bit more, I used my Signo white gel pen on the positive areas.
I love how sparkly this came out. What a fun stencil to work with! Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the many, many stencils they have to offer.
