Hello! Have you been loving all the coffee and tea-themed stencils from A Colorful Life Designs this month? I certainly have been. It’s pretty interesting how popular cards with these themes are…..it’s like these yummy hot beverages really connect people. I’ve noticed it this month so much more than other times. Today’s card uses 2 of the new stencils. One is called Coffee Love, and the other is Faded Lines.

For the Coffee Love stencil, I mixed white embossing paste with brown fluid acrylic paint and embossed the stencil on to Kraft cardstock. As that was drying, I worked on the rest of the card.
I inked the Faded Lines stencil directly on to my card base with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide. Then I added a strip of patterned paper from Echo Park’s Coffee paper pad (the one with the cups) and another that I don’t recall where it’s from, though it may also be Echo Park. I also added a sentiment.
I really enjoy making cards like this with various textures and plenty of patterns. Keeping the color palette simple prevents the card from being too busy.
