Ok, that title seems a bit crazy….I don’t think I can drink anyone under the table, no matter what the beverage is. The title is what it is because of the focal stencil I used on today’s card. It’s actually just called “Under the Table” but that sounded weird for a title. This stencil is part of the April Release from A Colorful Life Designs. And I used two previously released stencils with it. This is quick card to make and it’s flat, so it’s easy to mail. Let me show you.
I began by inking up the “Under the Table” stencil with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide on to Kraft cardstock. I kept the stencil in place while I laid the Teeny Honeycomb stencil on top of the cup, and inked it with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.
Then I removed both stencil and put the Multi Chevron stencil on top of the panel. I inked that with Wild Honey Distress Ink. Once I removed that stencil, I inked the edges a bit with Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain Distress Inks. I mounted this layer on to a brown card base.
See? Nice and flat. I really like the additional stenciled design on the mug. You can use any small design for this. I went with tone on tone, but you can certainly got for more of a contrast.
