Just Roll with It: New Kawaii Cuties!

Hello! It’s been a while, but there are some new Kawaii Cuties stamps that just hit the Stamp Anniething shop! There are 2 mini stamp sets and you can also purchase coordinating dies. These are really fun sets, and they work great together. My card today uses the For the Record set, which has 11 Kawaii stamps and 7 sentiments. I just used one of each this time. I have a pair of skates just like these with hot pink wheels, so that was my jumping off point. I colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and die cut them out. Next, I moved on to my background, and since I’ve been on a Gelato kick (the coloring medium…not the ice cream), I decided to make a panel with them. I had pre-gessoed some sheet music, and I applied 4 colors that matched the ones I used on the skates. I spritzed the panel with water and used my fingers to blend the colors a bit.

After the panel dried, I laid the Boomerang Stencil on top, taped it down, and rubbed the open areas with a baby wipe. I recently did this technique a few times for a Stamp Anniething FB Live. You can check it out HERE. Plus, I’ll have a YouTube video to share soon that will also show how it’s done. You can see a bit of the music peeking through the gesso, which I love.

To ground the roller skates, I die cut two circles using an older Stamp Anniething paper pad. Then I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Clair Ink in Purple Delight. Last, I went around the edge of my card base with Lindy’s Gang’ Magicals in Witch’s Potion Purple that I applied wet.
