Greetings! I’ve got a bit of a silly Christmas card today that uses 2 stencils from A Colorful Life Designs. The first is the new Dot Wreath stencil and the other is the older Make Some Plaid. I also decided to pull out a couple of stamps from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous.

I inked up a small portion of the Dot Wreath with Twisted Citron Distress Ink on cream colored cardstock. Then I tore the bottom and inked the edge direct-to-paper. I stamped and cut out the cat from a prior Simon Says Stamp Stamptember set, and I colored him with Copics. I affixed him to the stenciled panel, and added a shadow below him. On either side of the panel, I added a thin green strip of cardstock.

On my card base, I inked up the Make Some Plaid stencil with Festive Berries Distress Ink. I added some splatters using both colors of Distress Ink as well. My sentiment is from the Bold Tidings Mini stamp set and I die cut it with a postage stamp die from Stampendous’ Frames and Borders Die Set. I heat embossed it in white.

That cat cracks me up. He looks so surprised…like he forgot it was almost Christmas. And the Dot Wreath behind him makes it look like he’s really bewildered.
