Hello! I really enjoy playing along with various challenge blogs, but I don’t have time to do it very often anymore. I saw the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, which is a Color Inspiration challenge, and I couldn’t resist. I recently purchased the Fangtastic Friends and Fangtastic Friends Add-On stamps because I am LOVE bats, so this was my opportunity to break them out and play.

The inspiration photo shows colored powder in a rainbow, so I thought I would color my bats in a rainbow and put them on a mini slimline card. I don’t make this type of card very often, but i thought it worked well with the size and quantity of these bats. They were all colored with my Zig Clean Color Markers and then I fussy cut them out.
On a piece of rough Shizen Black Watercolor Paper, I flicked on some White Gold from Kuretake’s Starry Colors watercolor set. I also heat embossed my sentiment on a small strip of a smoother version of the Shizen Watercolor Paper. I adhered all of the elements on to the paper with Bearly Art Glue and then attached it to a black card base.
This is a pretty basic card, admittedly, but a lot of time was put into coloring those little battys. Unfortunately, it’s tough to photograph the red bat for some reason. He’s got a lot more shading than what’s showing up in my pictures. I really enjoyed playing along with the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #132. I hope I get to join in for the next one. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
