Hello! I’ve always liked checkerboard patterns, including when they’re on floors. So when I saw the Floor Perspective stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, I got all sorts of cool ideas. Here’s the first card I’ve made with this fun stencil.

I inked the stencil with Walnut Stain Distress Ink first. Then, using a gray Zig Clean Color Marker, I drew two vertical lines to create the “corners” of the room. My room needed windows, so I grabbed Chou & Flowers “Room 1” stamps and added them to the space. They were also colored with Zigs.
I needed a feature image, so I dug through my images that I had colored previously, and I came across this cat from The Gray Muse. She doesn’t sell stamps anymore, but her enamel pins are fantastic…I have a few of them. My sentiment is from an old My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts.
It’s a pretty simple room because the room elements were designed in an easy-to-use way. I’m pretty excited to try my next idea with the Floor Perspective stencil. If you’re a fan of J-Hope, you may know what direction I’m going. 😉 Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the hundreds of stencils that are available.
