Greetings! I’ve got a new stencil from A Colorful Life Designs featured on my card today. It’s called Great Sweeps, and it’s a 6×9 stencil. I used it with kind of a mish-mosh of elements that wound up looking pretty funky.

I inked up the stencil and smeared neon colors on it that were left on my mat from a different project. The oval is from the inside of a shaker window from THIS card. I had it on my desk and thought it looked cool. I had cut the window before I sprayed the background, so it’s still white here. I love the scattered foil bubbles from the Bubble Release stencil.
I decided to grab Tim Holtz’s Mod Cactus stamps and add it to the oval. I love the funky designs of the cactus and their pots. I found some washi tape that worked with the design and added that…and I was lucky to find a “looking sharp” sentiment from my stash. I inked it, plus the border of my card base with the same New Sprout Memento Ink that I used on the cactus.
Separately, the different elements look like they shouldn’t go together… but somehow they work when they were put on the card. It’s funky and a little weird, but I like it a lot.
