Turtley Awesome Collaboration

Hello and happy June! I am really excited to announce a fantastic collaboration between Doodles Paper Playground and A Colorful Life Designs! All month long, you’ll see projects from both of these amazing Design Teams showcasing projects that use beautiful Sparkle Blends with incredible stencils. You are in for a real treat. These two companies go so well together.

My first card for this collaboration features the new Turtley Awesome Sparkle Blend and the Bubble Release stencil. The Sparkle Blend will be available to purchase with the rest of the new release starting on June 3rd at 3PM EST. I started off by applying Therm O Web’s Transfer Gel Duo though the large 6″ x 9″ stencil. I let it dry (until tacky) and then I ran it through my laminator with Peach Princess Deco Foil. I love that it goes from a bright peachy color to rainbow holographic, depending on the lighting. I chopped the stenciled layer in half and decided to use the side that had less concentration of bubbles. I sprayed it with some Distress Spray Stain in Speckled Egg and Salvaged Patina. I got a little purple on there from who-knows-where, but I like it.

Next came my shaker window, which is a basic oval. I filled it with the fantastic Turtley Awesome Sparkle Blend. Do you see the teeny turtles in there? For my window backing, I stenciled the Bubble Release stencil again using the blue that was on my blending brush and applied it to one of the Watercolor Wishes paper from Lawn Fawn. I added a sentiment from the Ocean Sayings set and a Sea Turtle, both from Stampendous (colored with Zigs) for some more interest.

This is just the start of the collaboration between A Colorful Life Designs and Doodles Paper Playground. You are going to see so many fantastic projects this month from both teams!
