Hello! I have a foiled card to share with you today. I recently got the Stained Glass stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, as well as the Mystic Rainbow Deco Foil from Therm O Web. I knew I had to use these two items together.

Let me start by saying that it is really hard to photograph this card because there is so much foil on it. It reflects a ton of light, and wow, is it cool. On a piece of white cardstock, I applied Transfer Gel Duo from Therm O Web to the Stained Glass stencil. You need to let the paste become clear…it remains tacky when it’s “dry” so that the foil can adhere to it. I opted to run it through my laminator instead of my die cut machine, as I find that I get better results.
Seriously…look at those colors! They’re gorgeous. So after I foiled my piece, I cut it in half. Did I mention that the Stained Glass stencil is 6×9?! It’s huge and will make two card fronts. I mounted it on to a white card base. No additional color needed with this beautiful foil! On top of that, I added an “awesome” die cut from Stamp Anniething with a “you’re” from one of their Chibi stamps. I die cut the “awesome” out of black and white cardstock for a layered look, and I added some sparkle to the black layer with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen.
I just love how this came out. I enjoy just playing with it in the light. And I still have a second background I can use at another time. Please check out the Therm O Web Craft Room on FB, as well as the A Colorful Life Designs Fan Group. You’ll see so many wonderful projects in both groups.
