Hello! I am having a great time with the Matisse Elements and Sea Foam stencils from A Colorful Life Designs. I don’t plan on using them together all the time, but they just make such a fantastic team! HERE’s another card I made with this duo.

I decided to create a background first with the Matisse Elements. I took out my Memento Inks from Imagine in Teal Zeal, Cantaloupe, Potter’s Clay, and Elderberry. I also used Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. I just picked one of the shapes, a color, and stenciled it a few times on Smooth Bristol cardstock. Then I went to the next shape (masking off the stencil as necessary), and repeated the inking again. I did one more shape from the Matisse Elements, then I filled in some of the gaps and overlapped with areas of the Sea Foam stencil.
I thought it came out great and that all I needed to add was a sentiment. I grabbed my well-loved Classic Words Die set from Pinkfresh Studio and die cut “Hello” from a semi-gloss teal cardstock (which I am almost out of and I want to cry), and a deep eggplant colored cardstock. I didn’t even need to add color to my card base because my focal layer had enough going on.
I really like this color combo. I used my color wheel for inspiration, which is something I recommend to anyone when they’re stuck in a color rut. It helps you easily break out of the same loop of colors you may use. Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the hundreds of stencils that are available. There are so many amazing stencils that are unlike any you may have seen before. You can use my code, “AlFan10” to save 10% off of your purchase, not including Master Bundles. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
