Hello! Today I have a card that uses the new Flower Power stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I used this stencil in the same way I did in this YouTube video I made HERE.

This time, I used the Desert Heat Kaleidacolor Ink pad. This print was the second pull off of the Gel Press. If you watched my video, you’ll know what I’m talking about. I die cut the panel down with a die from Stampendous’ Deckle set and mounted it on to some yellow patterned paper. I inked my card base with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide.
For my focal image, I used one of the birds from Simon Says Stamp’s Beautiful Birds stamp set. It was colored with Copics and then fussy cut. I used a sentiment from that same stamp set and a die cut branch from Sizzix’s Funky Wreath die set. It was the perfect size.
I really like how this card turned out. The stencil is bold, but softened because of how the ink was applied. I love the splotchiness. And the bird is really sweet.
