Hello! I have a really funky stencil from A Colorful Life Designs to share today. It’s called Mid Century Geometric, and I think it’s really cool. This would be a really fun stencil to doodle in, but my card today just uses some basic techniques.

I had a roll-off mono print in my stash that I liked, but it really needed more on it. Enter the Mid Century Geometric stencil. The monoprint had cool tones of green and teal on it, so I grabbed the Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink and inked it on top. I kept the inking inconsistent so that some areas were darker than others. Then, I added some of the ink to my craft mat and spritzed it with water so that I could splatter it on to the panel.
On my card base, I inked Tumbled Glass and added more Rustic Wilderness splatters. For my sentiment, I die cut Happy Birthday from Pinkfresh Studio’s Classic Words die set with holographic cardstock, with the shadow layer cut from vellum. I needed some sparkle, so I grabbed some coordinating sequins from Doodles Paper Playground and adhered them with On Point Glue.
Birthday cards are supposed to be fun, and I think this one is. I definitely want to doodle in the open spaces on another card. Plus, I plan on using this on my Gel Press soon too.
