Hi! I love bees and bee imagery, so I was really excited that Doodles Paper Playground came out with a new bee-themed Sparkle Blend for the April release. It’s called Bee-You-Tiful, and it really is.

I grabbed the Bee Kind stamp set from Stampendous and colored that sweet bee and his flowers with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I cut the image out with a loose fussy cut. I decided to use Kraft cardstock behind the bee, and I partially die cut an oval for my shaker window. I didn’t need the full oval, since some of it would have been hidden by the stamp. Then, I used some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide with a honeycomb stencil from my stash, and stamped my Bee Happy sentiment from the Bumblebee Happy stamp set which is also from Stampendous.
Now take a look at that Sparkle Blend. I love the different shades of yellow, the different types of black sequins (some of them are holographic!), and of course those chonky bee clay bits! I don’t think this Blend will last very long (all Sparkle Blends are made in small one-time-only batches). I backed my shaker window with some Doodlebug paper and I inked my card base with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
I love how happy that little bee is. This card is full of joy, and that Sparkle Blend really helps. Be sure to check out the rest of the new release over at the Sparkle Blends Shop. Have an inspiring day!
