Hello! I wanted to work with a new-to-me stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called Sweater Knit, and play with the new Saltwater Taffy Distress Ink. In addition, it’s been a while since I made an infinity shaker, so I wanted to do that too.

When I first saw Saltwater Taffy, I knew I needed to use it with Salvaged Patina and Kitsch Flamingo. I inked some watercolor paper directly with the ink pads, getting quite a bit of color on the panel. Then I spritzed it with water to get the colors to move and blend together. I dried it with a heat tool so that I could move on to my next step. I sprayed the back of my Sweater Knit stencil with Pixie Spray so that it would stay put and then I applied a Glitter Glaze from Brutus Monroe with a palette knife. Then I had to let that dry.
Meanwhile, I inked my card base with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink and chose my Sparkle Blend for the shaker. I went with This Little Piggy because of all the great shades of pink. This Blend is sold out now, but you could use Grapefruit or perhaps Bubblegum Blizzard. For my sentiment, I chose “celebrate” from Pinkfresh Studio’s Classic Words. I made the shaker with some old stamp packaging and strong double sided adhesive. Then I attached the packet with the same adhesive to my card base.
I love these colors together! The glittered stencil looks so pretty against that watercolored-looking background. And everything is better when you have a shaker card to play with! Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the hundreds of stencils that are available. There are so many amazing stencils that are unlike any you may have seen before. You can use my code, “AlFan10” to save 10% off of your purchase, not including Master Bundles. In addition, you can use my code for Doodles Paper Playground, which is ALISON10. You can use the code on anything in the shop, except bundles. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
